The EU-Japan Regional Cooperation Helpdesk is operating under the direction of the EU JAPAN Centre for Industrial Cooperation. The EU Japan Regional Cooperation Helpdesk is a consortium with a European entity “CEEJA (European Center for Japanese Studies in Alsace)” and a Japanese entity, the CLAIR (Council of Local Authorities for International Relations) and three Japanese Prefecture, “Gifu”, “Iwate” and "Ibaraki" as senior advisors.

 CEEJA - European Center for Japanese Studies in Alsace

 The European Center for Japanese Studies in Alsace (CEEJA) is a nonprofit association, created in January 2001 and located in Colmar. It aims to promote and develop cooperation with Japan in terms of culture, economy, education, research and innovation, tourism, and so on.
It has been working on projects with a European dimension since its beginning, by supporting Japanese start-ups and small/medium companies for instance. Its scientific council also brings together key members in the European and Japanese academic field.
CEEJA is an unique center in Europe due to its global and regional approach to Japan.
IRC Japan

 IRC - Institute for Regional Cooperation in Japan

The Institute for Regional Collaboration in Japan (IRC) is an association created in 2021 in Tokyo by the Kitamaebune organization’s authorities in order to develop the network of the Japanese local Governments.
Kitamaebune organization was an association born during the Edo Period in Japan. it was the 1st network of Japanese prefectures with a commercial objective. In 2017, the  association has been recreated and currently regroups 48 members from 16 prefectures of Japan.
It aims to revitalize the regions of Japan in conjunction with the private sector. The IRC is developing the work and the objectives of the Kitamaebune organization.

The EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation is  is a joint venture established in 1987 by the European Commission (DG GROW) and the Japanese Government (METI) for promoting all forms of industrial, trade and investment cooperation between the EU and Japan. It is jointly funded and managed by both sides. It has its head office in Tokyo and an office in Brussels.

European Cluster Collaboration Platform

European Cluster Collaboration Platform

The European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) is the leading hub for cluster collaboration across Europe and beyond. It boosts the connections and partnering of enterprises via nearly 1000 cluster organisations registered at the Platform. They reach out to over 100.000 SMEs, some 8.000 large firms and 11.000 universities/research organisations.
The platform provides a dynamic mapping of clusters and cluster organisations, a partner search facility and offers information about the EU cluster initiatives and related European Cluster Partnerships and networks. It communicates about cluster-related news, international matchmaking events, conferences, open calls etc.

Region Grand Est

The Grand Est is a French industrial land situated at the heart of a vast European crossroad, with a regional GDP of over €154 bn. It is currently the third French Region for highest exportation performance on the Japanese markets, and is host to many Japanese companies. As the leading local authority for economic development policy, the Region has launched several initiatives, including plans focused on Industry 4.0, AI, and bioeconomy.

CCI International Grand Est

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Grand Est, is one of the 126 CCI in France.
The CCI provide information, advice and practical tools to existing companies, business creator, students and local authorities.
The following CCI are part of the CCI Grand Est : CCI Alsace Eurométropole, CCI des Vosges, CCI Grand Nancy Métropole Meurthe-et-Moselle, CCI Moselle Métropole Metz, CCI Meuse Haute-Marne, CCI Troyes et Aube, CCI Marne en Champagne, CCI Ardennes.
The CCI of the Grand Est is contributing to the development of the HelpDesk by having implemented an office inside its structure.

Eurometropole of Strasbourg

Eurometropole of Strasbourg is the métropole, an intercommunal structure, centred on the city of Strasbourg. It is located in the Bas-Rhin department, in the Grand Est region, northeastern France. It was created in January 2015, replacing the previous Communauté urbaine de Strasbourg, and covers that part of the Strasbourg metropolitan area that lies in France. Its population was 494,089 in 2017, of which 280,966 in Strasbourg proper.
